It doesn’t just have its father’s eyes. It’s a reality tycoon and it acts!
We tried to watch American Horror Story: Delicate. But we gave up this subtle, nuanced drama way back When Dylan McDermott and Connie Britton moved into a murder house. The 12th season stars Emma Roberts as a New York blonde who would very much like a baby. She doesn’t wear an amulet containing tannis root, but it recalls a certain movie directed by Roman Polanski back when 12-room apartments in the Dakota went for lunch money. This time, we are checking into a really awful fertility clinic, getting spooky looks from Cara Delavigne, and coping with a potty-mouthed publicist played by…Kim Kardashian. Now, that’s scary! — Minnie Castevet
The Kids Are Somewhat Alright
Sex Education (Netflix). Wag Asa Butterfield is an enormously appealing fellow. Sex Education has a spotty complexion, but it has him and other members of a winning ensemble (Emma Mackey, Connor Swindells, Ncuti Gatwai, and Aimee Lou Wood) as the best kind of concealer. The fourth and final season has the show’s teens moving earnestly into adulthood. When we look back at their escapades, we do wonder if the takeaway will be that, for all the frank talk, they were part of a generation that did not like sex. Gillian Anderson, in plummy mode, does her thing. — Jenny Fitton
It Girls
The Super Models (Apple TV+). The term supermodel is out of fashion. It belongs to a forgotten era and an industry that no longer holds much mystique. But in the late 1980s and early 1990s, there were exactly four supermodels— Linda Evangelista, Cindy Crawford, Naomi Campbell, and Christy Turlington. Accept no substitutes. This documentary reunites the foursome. As Linda famously put it, We don’t wake up for less than $10,000 a day. All these years later, you can see why. —Taryn Blake
Clash of the Titans
Krapopolis (Hulu). Wag Supremo Dan Harmon teleports away from Rick and Morty to lampoon ancient Greece in this comedy starring Richard Ayoade, Matt Berry, and Dame Hannah Waddingham. They make up a royal family trying to run a kingdom among wisecracking centaurs, nymphs, and satyrs.— Edith Hamilton
Same as it Ever Was!
Stop Making Sense (theaters). You may find yourself, sitting in an Imax bucket seat, watching Jonathan Demme’s 1984 masterpiece, only the best concert movie of all time. A24 has remastered the picture, which was shot over three nights at Hollywood’s Pantages Theater. Behold Wag Supremo David Byrne shimmying in that big baggy suit! It’s timeless. — Paul Hackett
