Rutherford Falls, Hostile Planet, Cruel Summer, and More - Your Watch

Wag appreciates that there is a gigantic publicity apparatus and a schedule to adhere to when it comes to recommending great movies and series. But oh, how we loathe a peg! Watch what is good, whenever it came out, wherever you find it. Discover and rediscover, like the fearless voyager you are! This definitely begins with both versions of Mapp and Lucia on Britbox. Alas, you'll need some other diversions:

Doc: This is a Robbery: The World’s Biggest Art Heist (Netflix). If your Uncle Lou from Revere has Rembrandt's The Storm on the Sea of Galilee stashed in his basement, there’s $10 million in it for you to dime him out. Oh, and this tale of the 1992 Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum robbery is bracing.

Series: Rutherford Falls (Peacock). If Mr. Mike Schur were to dribble doggerel on a cocktail napkin with bacon grease, Wag would insist you read it. So, we ask you blow to past the exit for dire Grover’s Corners and visit a hamlet populated by Ed Helms, Jana Schmieding and lots of other very funny people. We are overjoyed to see Monica Padman from Dax Shepard's podcast (hire our Monica constantly).

Proper Piss-Up: Hostile Planet (Disney+). Happy Earth Month! The mighty Mouse has given Gaea an upgrade from a mere day, serving up an array of eye-popping shows. Delight in watching snow leopards pounce from great heights onto cuddly victims in Hostile Planet, a fetching globetrotter hosted by Eton action figure Bear Grylls.

With Pippa and HuckCruel Summer (Freeform). It’s 10 o’clock, do you know where your children are? Are they down in the new vice principal’s mirrored cellar? If so, call the authorities immediately. She’ll look up from her phone. So will you. —Lilith Sternin
