Your Watch

It all begins witThere is too much to stream. Sorry @NYTimes, a “recommendation” list of 50 is a stiletto to the eye. Here are your assignments:
DOC: My Octopus Teacher (Netflix). Smart people keep telling you about this Oscar-nominated tale of a man, an oozy cephalopod, and a beautiful friendship. Dive in and splash around!
SERIES: The Bay (Britbox). A gloomy English seaside town. A harried single mum who is also a detective. A ‘orrible murrrrdurrr! Think of it as Mare of Easttown without those long o's. The first two seasons are great fun for Future Dame Morven Christie alone (hire her).
PROPER PISS-UP: You still haven’t binged The Great (Hulu)! Sit down and revel in the peaches and cyanide Elle Fanning and the potty-mouthed, leather-pantalooned Nicholas Hoult.
WITH PIPPA AND HUCK: The Dark Crystal and the Age of Resistance (Netflix). In the main, we are averse to muppetry, but this prequel to the 1982 fantasy classic is good magic. —V. Salt
